What’s actually in it — 14 named varieties
Every display is built from named heirloom and specialty pumpkins, not whatever a lot had left. These are the varieties this package draws from.
Howden
the classic deep-orange jack-o’-lantern shape, tall and ribbed
Massachusetts, 1960s
Casper
chalk-white and smooth, slightly flattened — the white pumpkin most people picture
Baby Boo
a palm-sized white miniature, ribbed and flat-topped
Jack Be Little
a flattened orange miniature about the width of a fist
Munchkin
small, deeply ribbed and bright orange
Blue Jarrahdale
flat and deeply ribbed in pale slate blue-green — the one people always ask about
Australia
Galeux d’Eysines
salmon-pink and covered in peanut-shaped warts
France
Cinderella (Rouge Vif d’Étampes)
wide, flat and vividly red-orange — the coach from the fairy tale
France, 1880s
Fairytale (Musquée de Provence)
deeply lobed, ripening from green to a soft tan-brown
Provence
Lumina
smooth ivory-white, medium sized, with pale flesh
Speckled Swan
a long curved neck in speckled green — a gourd, used for height
Marina di Chioggia
sea-green and heavily warted, turban-shaped
Venetian lagoon
Long Island Cheese
flat, buff-tan and lobed — it looks like a wheel of cheese
Long Island
Knucklehead
bright orange under a dense crust of green warts
Every one of these is delivered, arranged and placed for you. You don’t need to be home.
